Saturday 9: Half the Man I Used toBe

1. Do you feel that you are essentially the same person that you were ten years ago?
I'm not sure if I want to be the same person as I was 10 years ago! So, no.

2. Is there something that you have to give all or nothing to?
What do you mean, like money? I have no money to begin with, so, the answer is no.

3. Have you ever gambled?
No. Wait, does playing bingo count as gambling as well?

4. Can you sleep anywhere or does it have to be in bed?
If I am really, really tired and sleepy I can practically sleep almost anywhere -- in the car, plane, or my work desk! *lol*

5. Tell us about the most disastrous or embarrassing first impression you've ever made on someone?
Hmmm, I don't think I ever made something like that before.

6. Do you have a memorable "ripped clothing" moment in your life? No? How about in someone else's?
Unfortunately yes, that was years ago when I was working in a remote Cambodian village. I ripped my pants while helping villagers cut/make a trail through a very thick bamboo forest.

7. What's changed on your blog since its inception? ... a redo? ... a change of pace? ... or is it about the same?
Template change, in my attempt to attract more visitors, and oh, more memes!

8. If you could travel back in time and whisper something to yourself ten years ago, what would it be?
Who farted?

9. Okay, let's have it! What's the craziest, most impulsive thing you've ever done?
Gone skinny-dipping in the beach with uni classmates while our lecturer was around. Aahh, to be young and reckless and drunk once upon a time!

Saturday 9: Little Miss Can't Be Wrong

1. Who was the last person you dealt with that felt they could never be wrong?
Aaahhh - that would be Missus Bulldozer =)

2. Tell us about one person who is most like you?
My youngest sister -- although she wouldn't care to admit it. We have the same mannerisms, length of hair and cut, her boyfriend once mistook me for her one time. The boyfriend only stopped from sneaking up on me was when he noticed I was shorter. Tee-hee-hee.

3. What is something you really want right now?
A pint of chocolate ice cream -- anything chocolate!

4. What are you doing this weekend?
Celebrating our wedding anniversary -- we'd probably go out for a fancy dinner somewhere =)

5. Are you in good mood? If yes, why?
Yes I am in good mood. Everything seemed to be running smoothly at home and we just received a present from my in-laws!

6. Do you have an ex that you are pretty sure thinks about you a lot?
No, I don't think so.

7. What's one thing you wish you could do but can't?
I wish I could watch (foreign) movies on a big screen.

8. What's one trait you hate in a person?
Two-faced.

9. What's one thing you like to do alone?
Blogging and reading.

Saturday 9: Superstition

Hi... It's been a while since I last joined o this week I am back for Saturday 9. Hope friends will find me again here.

Here goes this week's Saturday 9 Meme:

1. What are you superstitious about?
I think as an Asian it is typical for me to be superstitious. And there's a lot of stuffs - from crossing paths with a black cat to not spending money on the first day of the new year! *lol*

2. What's the story behind one of your scars?
A story about how I learned how to ride a bicycle the hard way.

3. What are the three things you would rather be doing right now?
Cuddling with the husband, watching sappy movies, and eating junk food in bed!

4. What do you do when you're bored?
Eat, blog, and sleep - not necessarily in this order.

5. What's your favorite thing to do? Why?
I love to be alone. Don't get me wrong, I like being with friends and family but it is when I am alone when I get my mind cleared and many things are done.

6. What do you do when you're lonely?
If my husband is at work/unavailable, I call up my friends and we go out.

7. How do you measure the passing of time in life?
Through the number of my nieces and nephews and seeing them grow up

8. What constitute the "perfect lived day" for you?
Don't know -- haven't had one yet.

9. If you knew you were going to die in a year, what would you do in your final days?
I'll try to live the whole year and do all the things I have listed in my bucket list.

Saturday 9: Hey Jealousy

Saturday, May 8, 2010 10:51 PM Posted by MissusDilis 3 comments

Happy Mother's Day everyone. I salute all the mothers and fathers, women and men, gays and lesbians, who take on the challenge of mothering children in whatever circumstances.

Today, I'm joining Saturday 9 for the first time so please be kind :D

1. When was the last time that you got jealous?
Honestly, I rarely get jealous, and I don't know why. I think I'm blessed with a husband who doesn't give me any reason to get jealous.

2. At what point do you finally decide it's time to move forward with your life (like, major changes)? How do you know? What do you do?
It's when I feel that things are not doing well as I have envisioned it to be or I'm really getting utterly bored. I ask myself many times and look for signals before pushing that re-set button.  I try many different things to see if it works, and if not, it's time to overhaul.

3. When is it time to just let it ('it' can be whatever you choose) go? How do you know? What do you do?
I think it's when you've finally come to terms that there are things in life that aren't meant to be no matter how much you tried making it work.

4. How many times must someone push your buttons before you've just had enough? Why?
I can be very patient and open-minded when the situation needs me to. I'm not easily angered under normal circumstances but when I'm hungry and the weather is too stifling, it doesn't take a lot to make me explode in anger.

5. If I S/O were to cheat on you, could you ever see yourself giving them a second chance? Or a third?

I'd say it will depend on the nature or gravity of the offense. I'm all for giving a second chance though but to me, once the trust is broken it can never be brought back again. A third? I dunno.

6. What was the last thing that someone did that you were very grateful for?

Taking over my chore of walking dogs while I'm under the weather.

7. How much time do you spend online in a given weekday? What about the weekends?

I spend enough time online to accomplish things on weekdays and lesser on weekends. I still have a life, you know.

8. How many online journals/blogs do you read regularly? What are some of your favorites and why?
I visit lots of blogs in my links list but the ones I read, as in read, regularly are of my friends. No need to mention the favorites.

9. What was the last major purchase that you made?

My netbook and its accompanying accessories.
